Camille is a painter and illustrator based on the land Kombumerri people, in Australia's Burleigh Heads.
A graduate of COFA, UNSW, Camille forged a lengthy career in design in Sydney, before moving to the Gold Coast and pursuing her artistic practice, after years of incorporating art and illustrations into her work where she could.
Growing up on Ngunnawal country surrounded by bush and the Brindabella ranges, Camille has always been inspired by the natural environments around her. Her practice weaves between the interiority of private moments with landscape elements, and the connection of colours and form to emotions. She enjoys incorporating visual narratives through a mix of abstract art, and illustrative works, combining bold colours and expressive marks.
She divides her time between painting self-directed acrylic artworks in her studio, illustrating digitally on her iPad and with gouache and pencils, or painting large scale mural across the SE Qld and the Northern Rivers regions.
When she’s not drawing or painting, she’s out and about with her toddler, husband and cat Waffles, traipsing sand from the local beaches back to her house/car/studio.
Her work can be found at Gallery Alchemy, Kira and Kira and Mint Art House, and is collected nationally and internationally.
Her books can be purchased where all books are sold.
