Camille is an Australian painter, illustrator and public art specialist based in Burleigh Heads, on the lands of the Kombumerri people.
A graduate of the College of Fine Arts, UNSW (COFA), she established a successful design career in Sydney before relocating to the Gold Coast, to focus on her studio practice and public art.
Raised on Ngunnawal country, where the bushland and Brindabella ranges formed her earliest visual language, Camille’s work is grounded in a deep connection to place and memory. Her paintings move between expansive landscape sensibilities and quieter contemplative moments, distilling environmental memory into fields of colour and gesture. Rather than depicting the landscape directly, she evokes its rhythm and atmosphere through abstraction. Colour theory underpins her compositions, guiding tonal relationships and emotional resonance while maintaining a sense of structural clarity.
Alongside her studio practice, Camille produces select illustration projects
and large-scale murals across South East Queensland. Her work is held in private collections nationally and internationally.
When she’s not drawing or painting, she’s out and about with her son, husband and cat, traipsing sand from the local beaches back to her house/car/studio.
Her picture books can be purchased where all books are sold.
