Camille is a painter, illustrator and public art specialist based in Burleigh Heads, on the land of the Kombumerri people.
A COFA, UNSW graduate, she spent many years building a successful design career in Sydney before relocating to the Gold Coast, where she has since dedicated herself to painting and large-scale public art.
Raised on Ngunnawal country, with the bush and Brindabella ranges shaping her early sense of place, Camille’s practice is deeply informed by the natural environments that surround her. Her work moves between quiet, intimate moments and expansive landscape references, combining colour and gestural mark-making to build layered visual narratives. She draws on colour theory to create balance, contrast, and emotional resonance, allowing each piece to sit between observation and interpretation.
Alongside her studio practice, Camille creates illustrations in both traditional and digital media and delivers murals across South East Queensland.
When she’s not drawing or painting, she’s out and about with her toddler, husband and cat Waffles, traipsing sand from the local beaches back to her house/car/studio.
Her work can be found at Jumbled Online, Kira and Kira and Mint Art House, and is collected nationally and internationally.
Her books can be purchased where all books are sold.
